People on multiple social media platforms were sharing a video since October 30, 2025, allegedly showing horses running wildly in the streets of Dubai after a Pakistani or Indian worker mixed alcohol into their drinking water. However, the video is AI-generated and nothing of the sort occurred.
On Oct 30, a video was shared by a pro-Afghan user on X of horses running wildly in the streets of Dubai and causing destruction by crashing with or jumping on cars with the following caption: “In Dubai, United Arab Emirates, several horses went wild after a Pakistani worker mixed alcohol into the water they drank in a field. The horses lost control and caused significant damage to people and vehicles.”
The video gained over 72,000 views.
A Pakistani user also posted the video on X, while blaming the incident on an Indian citizen, with the following caption: “Dubai: Many horses in the United Arab Emirates went crazy when an Indian worker added alcohol to the water after letting them drink from a field, causing the horses to become uncontrollable and resulting in significant damage to people and vehicles.”
The post received over 180,000 views.
The same video was shared by multiple other users on X with similar claims as can be seen here, here, here, here, here.
It was also shared on other platforms such as Facebook here, here, here and here; on Instagram here, here, here, here and here; on Tiktok here, here and here, and on Youtube here and here.
A fact-check was initiated to determine the veracity of the claim due to its virality and keen public interest.
A keyword search conducted in both English and Arabic to check whether any credible international or Emirati media outlets had reported any such incident yielded no results for any current or past such instance.
Observing the video showed various visual inconsistencies typical of visuals generated through artificial intelligence.
From the six to eight-second mark, a brown horse can be seen running into a wall and disappearing.

At the 28-second mark, a grey horse can be seen standing static without any movement, as if frozen in time, while the other horses run in the background.

Lastly, at the 57-second mark, a dark brown or black horse can be seen running headfirst into a wall and then seemingly climbing and jumping over something, whereas there is nothing in front of it to provide that kind of leverage or way.

Analysing the video through AI-detection tools shows that Hive Moderation gave it a score of 87.1 per cent, saying the clip was “likely to contain AI-generated or depefake content”.

Reached out to corroborate the matter, Dubai locals also confirmed that nothing of the sort had occurred or been reported in local news.
The claim that a viral video shows horses running wildly in the streets of Dubai and causing destruction is false.
